Title: Down to work
Post by: RubyRed on January 11, 2019, 21:17
Had a very busy day with my oh outside all day. It started at 8.30 when we had a delivery of turf for the woodstore roof. It is a green roof and chock a block full of 8 different kinds of serum. It will attract bees and butterflies as well as birds stripping the dried stems for nesting. Then we put together a wild bee box called the gardeners beehive. It acts as a tree stump for wild bees and hopefully will get a swarm interested to move in. After a couple of years honey  (if there is excess) can be removed from another chamber not interfering with the main supply. Then in the afternoon we had a brand new coop delivered from woodenart. It's our third over the years and Dec to the best we've had. Girls love it. Roll on spring I'm sure i can smell it . . .
