Courgette and walnut cake with cream cheese frosting is a favourite in our establishment. :D Especially when the troops are getting mutinous because they have had enough of courgettes :D

Hi chile paul and welcome to the site. :) This could be blossom end rot in your yellow courgettes which would be due to lack of calcium, however if you say it affects some then it is quite likely to be lack of pollination due to cool temperatures. Is this likely where you live bearing in mind the summer we had last year in the UK?

Hiya and thanks for the welcome! Could be that they've not pollinated, but had assumed that because the other varieties of courgetters weren't affected in similar locations that this probably wasn't the problem. I don't have any of the yellow varieties this year, but I will give this a try this year!

Since we are all courgette nuts on this thread I thought I'd share something that I have grown these last few years.  Summer squash crookneck.  Treat and eat just like a courgette with all the lovely recipes here.  My favourite is a mix of all summer squash and courgettes roasted off with anything else you fancy in there too.

I got my seeds from Marshalls but ran out, and don't stock it any more, but have googled and tracked another source

Thanks Mum.  I did not like the minimum order thing too much but its easy enough to make it worthwhile I suppose.  My wife said "just get them for heavens sake" what a woman!
