growers pellets v growers meal

Hi there, I'm faily new to this I have six pullets, they are 12 weeks old Ihave been feeding them on Growers Pellets, but when I went to get new supplies today they only had Growers Meal. I tried another supplier but had the same problem.
I have bought the meal can anyone advise if the girls will mind the change and should I feed it wet or dry.

If you are keeping them for meat you need growers pellets or meal

If you are keeping them for eggs you need layers pellets or meal

They have different compositions of nutrients for the different types of bird.

Don't you feed em all growers till there 20 weeks and switch to layers if your after eggs then ? or have I got it wrong again

.

Personally I prefer pellets to meal there seems less wastage, but it takes em longer to eat dry meal than pellets so stops em getting bored.

Your quite right Richy. Don't need to start the layers until they become "mature"
