Hasbeans has a good post here.

liquidising comfrey in Grow Your Own - Page 1 of 1

Thinking about what I said, and not wanting to hijack the post, I'm wondering if there's something else to add.

In a standard septic tank, (not too much detail please Growster!), there is a requirement for a crust to form, to enable anerobic breakdown of the contents, resulting in an effluent which can drain away from under the crust.

Now, if my comfrey/nettle tub has such a topping, will there be a similar action going on underneath, and will that enhance/degrade the qualities of the liquid?

(Answers on a pair of Marigolds please..;0)
