Went away for a few days and I ridicously sowed sweet pea seeds just prior thinking they wouldn’t dry out, but forgot about light because I took them out of the window sill before I went because it was so cold.
As you can imagine I’ve now got seedlings with about five inch stalks and four leaves . I’ve pinched them out, but think they might topple. Can I repot them a bit deeper into compost ? Has anyone done that and they have survived ? :unsure:

Personally it's quite early to get them going so I'd sow some more, because the lack of light that made them leggy won't have done their strong growth any good.

I should imagine that now they're in the light and they've been pinched back, they'll soon grow stronger. Perhaps in the meantime some 'twiggy bits' would help them stay upright, rather than potting deeper.

I’ve always sown them this early really and sometimes even in a December . I might do as you say and sow another batch but try and keep these going . Thanks.

Yes good idea, I’ll stick some little hedge clippings in tomorrow. You’ve given me hope :)
