Oil seal for norlet Tillermate

Hi folks i am new to this site and i did a google search for Norlet Spares and this is where i landed .
I have recently bought a Norlet Tillermate of ebay as a non runner after a lot of messing about it is now a runner but have found out that it needs a new oil seal on the shaft at the bottom of the gearcase and wondered if any body knows a Norlet parts suply in any part of the UKmany thanks in anticipation taterfork

Hi and welcome to the site, sorry I can't help you for Norlet oil seal, however if you have the original seal take it along to you nearest hydraulic hose company, they may have a suitable replacement. Where abouts in the country are you? If you are in Lincolnshire or Leicestershire I could give you details of some companies we use for ram seals etc  :)

Oh and please pay a visit to the welcome section and introduce yourself to the rest of the members, I'm sure they would welcome you  :D

Thank you very much for quick response it looks like i will be going to the bearing company where i got the drive belt for my other Norlet .
I am in the area of the old Forest Of Arden along side the M6 between j3 and j3a  :).taterfork

Just needed the same thing for my Howard.

They are nothing special just std sizes, if you are lucky you might be albe to read off the the seal sizes from the old one, if not just (idealy) use a micrometer to measure ID and OD of the shaft, seal mount and then depth..there will be one to fit it.

Couple of £ I suspect as a STD bearing, a lot more than than in a Norlet packet!

Many thanks chaps i will clean it up in the morning and see if i can find a number but if not i will endeavour to dig the old one out carefully and pop along to Longford Bearings and  Engineering sales in Coventry and see what can be done .

Well the job has been done the hardest part was pulling the dust cover of big blacksmith type gear pullers and it was a struggle .
The new one was £4.50 so got 2  1 used 1 in stock. :D.taterfork
