No, nobody much will as they all have their oldie-wordie Blackberries. I don't know either, I just thought I say hello, as nobody answered.

They will fruit on this years growths, all that means. It must have a point to have them.

Yes I bought a plant for £9.99 just over a year ago.

It arrived in a three inch pot, was two inches high, had three leaves and the stem wasn`t much thicker than a matchstick. after nursing it through the winter in the conservatory, it was planted on the plot around April time.

It grew very slowly and it`s now just over three feet tall. Despite flowering and a handfull of fruits forming they never ripened and it has flowers at this very moment.
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

It probably goes to the company test kitchens; often, many donate produce to shelters, etc.

I mail ordered a Ruben last spring which came as a 3 inch single stem plant. I didn’t hold out much hope but had it on the kitchen window sill for a month and then planted down the allotment.

I planted it in a sunny spot with a good multi purpose compost, mulched around the base with some bark chipping and gave it some protection by putting a spare car type round it. The same year it has grown four good steams about 3ft in height and given me approx 20 really good size tasty fruits off the new growth. I’m looking forward to this year as it’s now looking really strong.
