just got to clematis ones amontana rubens and aclematis montana grandiflora wots the best plac to put tham wot do i have to add to them wen i put them in to the grand

I'd add some general purpose fertiliser - fish blood n bone, or growmore.

I think both prefer a sunny location.

If they are going against a wall or fence, plant them about 12-18" away from the wall if possible (and angle the plant backwards so it leans against the wall) to prevent it getting too dry at the roots from the rain shadow / absorption from the wall.

Montanas are quite vigorous so make sure you have enough room for them to ramble, and not smother anything else nearby.

They should do well in any aspect, but do prefer to have shaded roots if possible.

Shaded roots quite important and plant a little deeper then in the pot(an inch or two)
