piston rings a plenty.

ive been in touch with a company called cords who manufacture piston rings.
these ring sets are made up from multi segment steel rings that compensate for wear and tear in the engine.
if your engine is a smokey old oil burner, these are the things you want.  all you need to do before fitting them is deglaze the cylinder, there is no need to rebore.
ive used them in the past to restore some very old engines and they work very well indeed.
the address is;

CORDS PISTON RING COMPANY LTD
8 AINTREE ROAD
PERIVALE
GREENFORD
MIDDLESEX
UB6 7LA

TELEPHONE: 0181 991 0182
FAX: 0181 998 1214

hope this helps

Hello Graham,

I got to fit them on a couple of of old engines in a former employ...my then boss had come across them from his days in the tractor world I suspect.??

  Have you used them on any aluminium bore engines.??

Hi Dori,
Yes mate, I've fitted them to loads of engines in the past, but not recently. :)
