Automatic Vent Best ?
« on: February 27, 2012, 12:26 »
I have noticed that there are a few automatic vent openers around. I have a 4 x 6 poly carbonate greenhouse with a roof vent. I just need to know the best make to get for this as they do vary.

Thanks.

I've bought and fitted 3 B&Q vents over the past 9 years, and they're all still going strong...at the time they were far cheaper than Bayliss but I see you can get these for under £20 from Amazon etc now...

Bought the Bayliss XL 18 months ago and very happy with it - it's currently £19.95 from Amazon with free postage (less than I paid for mine!  :tongue2:)

Bayliss have been around for a long time so there is no problem buying spare parts (that's if anyone still repairs items like this nowadays! )

Whichever you buy make sure it will actually fit your type of greenhouse.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Not quite sure what point you're making there Hubballi (Gardman sometimes appear to be taking over the gardening world but I don't think some of their stuff is of the best quality, and in any case with postage it's only a pound cheaper than the Bayliss.)

The point being that I am showing the greenhouse I already have in light of what you say about them not fitting every type.

Thought that might be the case. Although obviously not your own greenhouse, you said yours is 6X4 and the roof in the ad seems to be 4 sheets wide, meaning it must be 8Xsomething?

Anyway, if you are considering buying it you can always "Ask a question" near the bottom of the ad just to make sure.
