I've got seven lavender plants on my allotment Planted in the grand I've had them for two years now will this freezing weather kill them ?thanks

No one can answer that, it depends just how cold it actually gets. You could wrap them in fleece if you are worried about them, it may help.

I wouldn't worry. Lavender are tough plants.

Here is a site featuring lavender growing in Poland where winter temperatures are regularly as low as we are experiencing, often much lower.

Even in France, a country one perhaps thinks of first regarding lavender winter temperatures can often fall well below freezing. So I really wouldn't worry.

I too have lavender in my allotment albeit older plants than yours. I fully expect to see bees and butterflies among the flowers in the summer.

The lavender in the garden at my old house survived the awful winter a few years back. It's pretty tough stuff

I think with Lavender it may be a question of soil/drainage rather than how cold it gets on the top. If the roots sit in cold and wet soil for long they really won't like it.
French lavender certainly isn't as hardy as some of the other types as I lost mine in the last cold winter.
