Title: Passion flower
Post by: Beetroot queen on August 31, 2008, 21:04
We cant get rid of it, I know its gorgeous but we wanted an edible garden ( well minus the grass that is) :D

I googled many a time to see if the fruits were edible and came up blank every time so we pulled it yesterday but I just know it will be back bigger and better than before.

It grows like a weed yet everyone tells me its hard to grow. :?

I want my rhubarb in when the time is right, what can I do to make sure it doesnt come back. The land has been sold to Mr Rhubarb and I dont want any squatters.

You are going to have to dig all the little bits of roots out then add lots of good compost etc. Hope it's where you get lots of sunshine as rhubarb doesn't do so well in the shade. The passion fruit is edible but tends not to develop the inner bit to the point that makes it worthwhile! My garden has been taken over by the blighters even where there is no soil! Good luck.

It has a good mix of shade and sun so I think it should be okay. I think we may have it this time

I said that last time but I live in hope
