Title: Winter care dwarf apple trees.

I have some dwarf apple trees in large pots do i need to give them any care during the winter months?.
Will they need a feed?,do need to put them in the green house?,only 1 tree produced apples this year that was a variety called Winston,they are supposed to taste simular to a russet i have not tried any yet as harvest is this month.Lillileaf

They need cold to develop the fruit next year, so no to the greenhouse.  You could wrap the pots if you are worried about them freezing.

They shouldn't need feeding as they will be dormant, but you could mulch the top of the pot - fine bark is good.  This also helps keep the pot from freezing.

The main thing that harms potted plants over the winter is sitting too wet for long periods.  If you haven't got a good drainage layer in the base of a couple of inches thick, consider sitting the pots on bricks, or pot feet  :)

I would be tempted to give them a pinch of sulphate of potash to encourage blossom.
