Hi

I wondered, has anyone found any ready-made thing that would work well as a shelter for a wormery?  When we got the unexpected and prolonged snow, my worms all died. 

I don't mind making something, but thought I'd see if anyone had found anything that would save me the hassle.

I have seen things like wheelie-bin shelters that would work, but they're stupidly expensive for what they are!

I wrap an old carpet round mine and the worms have always survived.  You could go further and wrap with carpet then use a large cardboard or wooden box to cover the lot.

Ive had my worlmery for about 6 years now and they are doing well.

if you really can't face cobbling something together, if your wormery isn't too big a standard hot water tank jacket might do?
