I'm growing a selection of chilli plants (cayenne, birdseye, devil red and naga) - all indoors on the kitchen windowsill at the moment.  The cayenne plants have quite a lot of flowers and a couple of chillies.  However, the chillies are very long and very knobbly - not smooth and straight... is this normal??

I think perhaps they start off like that and then start to get long and slender, thinking of the cayenne here    If they are free of pests and are not pot bound I think they should be fine. Some of my Elephant's Trunks look nobbly and uneven but I think it's just a characteristic rather than a problem.  A photo might help

mine are sposed to be long and pointy, and ATM they are just knobbly mishapen blobs    I'm sure they will sort themselves out though

Initially hought I'd just leave them and see how they did, but then decided to check the pots "just in case".  Definitely a bit pot bound, now repotted and doing splendidly - thanks for the help!
