introducing a new muscovy duck to a pair

i have a pair of 6month old muscovy ducks and have been offered another female, she is about 4months old. does anyone have any experience of introducing them together. the pair free range my garden at the moment and live in a chicken house 1m x 1.5m.

They should be fine, you don't have to pop them in the house together at night as ducks can get a bit nervous if something strange is plonked in there! I only have runner duck experience though,and I have heard Muscovies are more relaxed than runners.
Introducing ducks to ducks is much easier than introducing new chickens!
I am sure more experienced ducky peeps will be along soon!! :D

I'm not more experienced, but when I introduced my younger runners to the older ones, I supervised for about 15 minutes, cup of coffee in hand, and then as all seemed well, left them to it  :) Apart from the usual muttering and gossipping, there were no problems at all.

and ducks are so much more sociable than chickens, I love the head-bobbing and constant excited chattering noises they make!! :D :D

Definately Daytime........you can watch the fun then.  I love introducing new ducks !!!!  I love the curiosity of them how friendly they are!!

the new duck has arrived today, the  old pair seem to be guarding the pond and chasing the new duck out when she does getin. the old female is trying to nip at her. they have only been together for 1 hour, i am worried about putting them into the house overnight, it is a chicken house 1m sq, am i expecting too much.
