I have just looked at the recipe section for jam making. The recipes give all ingredients except the quantity of fruit, unless I am blind and can't see it. Can anyone help please?

Thanks for the reply Mum. All I can see in the ingredients is, quantity of sugar and water, no mention of fruit. I must be missing something!

That's weird!  I can see all the ingredients too!

 

"4 lbs (1.8 kg) damsons
¼ pint (145 ml) water
4 lbs (1.8 kg) sugar"

Grannieannie, Could I please ask you to let me know what quantity of fruit for cherry jam, all I can see is sugar and lemons. Thanks!

I don't go that way until End of August Mum when I am going to my cousin's son's wedding in Hastings.  I have to change at Ashford!!!!  As well as Peterborough and Kings cross!

Thank you both! I picked a big tray of cherries yesterday, put some in the freezer and thought I'd make a bit of jam with the rest. If you were passing by today you would easily recognize me,  I am covered from head to toe in red juice.    Thanks again!
