I would grind in the valves, first i dont think it will be so broken as to need a new carb

the other day when i was working on it i cleaned and flushed out the tank and filter, replaced the pipe and striped the carb.

i couldnt get the main jet out as someone had rounded off the slott in the past

im a bit worryed as there doesnt seam to be much compression when turning the pully by hand.

i thought replace the carb to fix the stuck jet problem but low compression i was thinking could be main gaste or something and dont think i fancy that job.

so the time ive payed someone to do it it would of cost quite abit of money and i need it to be as low priced as possible

the thing with a wacker nathan is when in use they are on full revs for 99% of the time when in use and obviously they vibrate a hell of a lot.where as an engine of a pump or a gen set would have had a better life.
just a bit of food for thought

if it not whistling then your lack of compression could be valve adjustment.
inlet       0.15mm
exhaust  0.20mm

adjusted by the nut and locknut in the middle of the rocker

yeah i thight the same things when he gave me t and said what it was fitted to.

would low compression stop a engine running right when it wasnt under pressure?

i started it again today in passing and it ticked over for 29 or so seconds and it sounded well, but when i tryed to add on revs it just died

sounds more like fuel then . Low compression would make it difficult to start. inability to rev up is fuel starvation or weak mixture unwind pilot 1/2 a turn a time till it runs

before spending any money ensure the main jet hole is not damaged and partially closed. The carb you have will be OK just look at it carefully

i filled it up with carb cleaner and let it soak through, i think i have done everything in my power to fix what i have here without buying parts, i just dont want to spend money on parts and it still not fix the problem

i just keep thinking a new engine looked after right will last me for as long as i need it to

what engine do think looks the better one?

I have two of these honda copy chinese engines although with different names. One I have have never taken out the box the other came on the howard and is very good always starts and runs and sounds nice. And is very economical. I intend to use them both on my prodjects this winter.
