 :( Ihave noticed small ,very tiny beasties in hens' nest boxes & on eggs...they arent red so dont think they have red mite. Daughter thinks it may be harvest mite as surrounded by fields. Anyone help? Thanks :)

If they are harvesting around you they are probably thrips, in Yorkshire known as thunderbugs. They are completely harmless. Do keep an eye in case this is not right! :)

There seems to be lots of thunderbugs about around here as well and we are in the middle of a city!!
