ive just been to our local sunday market and came home with a sack of pickling onions and 5lts of vinigar for 5.50!
bargain
ok i didnt grow them myself but i will for next year

As a starter before we get too complicated.
Peel.
Soak overnight in brine,
Wash, drain, pat dry with kitchen towels.
Stuff in bottles.
Add pickling vinegar.
No probs!! Add the thing of you choice if you want. Black Peppers - Chillies....

thanks dd thats what i have done
half of them are done, ive got 4 1kg jars
got to get some more jars to carry on but thats enough for today

i soak mine is salty water for 2 days
wash off and put in jars and add vinegar
