Grow Your Own / Re: Droopy Cucumber HELP

Welcome to the forums  :D

I think the pot is too small.  They need high humidity and moist soil.  They wilt quickly if they need water.

Thanks :) i did just move it into this pot as the old one had bad drainage which i thought might be the problem. Would the pot be too small even if the roots weren't spread to the edges as when re-potting it the roots weren't to much for the pot

Welcome to the site  :)

In picture 1, those very bottom two leaves are the seed leaves. They look different from the main leaves, and are supposed to turn yellow and drop off. Nothing to worry about with those.

In the other pictures, are all the leaves drooping, or just the bigger ones? Are the smaller ones that are growing new in the centre of the plant also droopy?

I would not suggest that you try rinsing off the compost again. Doing this can damage roots in itself.

Hey thanks for the response, yes so the only reason i rinsed the rots off was to see if they had rot and also to make sure it had the best chance in a new pot as the old one didn't seem to be very good. I did try to be carful with them but won't be doing it again XD

As for the lower leaves should i cut them off or let them turn yellow, i did have two other bigs leaves i cut off, one the stem of it had been chewed by a slug and the other was turning yellow and drooping. Weirdly the new leave coming through seem ok so far, not droopy at all and feel quite firm. The two big ones are droopy however their stems still feel quite firm.

I think i'll leave it a few days without water and see what happens thanks :)

Grow Your Own / Droopy Cucumber HELP

Hey, so i have this cucumber plant that was doing fine until a couple of days ago where the leaves started to droop and the bottom ones turned yellow. I thought this may be due to a lack of water as i hadn't watered it for a few days so i gave it a water and in the evening it did perk up a bit, however this morning it was back to droopy and yellow leaves. I thought maybe it as a problem with the put so i moved it out, washed all the soil off to see if there was root rot and there didn't seem to be. I was wondering if theres another problem i might be missing, this is how it looks at the moment.

Any help is appreciated, this is my first year growing so am very new to this

Macaroni cheese.  We needed to use up the milk we had (I am lactose intolerant but know how much I can have).
