Well - remenber it is early days yet, so don't be disappointed if Jack Frost clobbers your stuff. Like someone's grandpa said -' It will catch up, boy'.

Lucky you. Our last frost is usually early/mid May, although there have been later frosts which have done for beans and some spuds.

It would help a great deal if you said which part of the world you are from - you know - put your Location!

Thanks - perhaps others will also put where they are located? Its warmer (and earlier for sowing/growing) in the far south, you see than it is in, say Scotland! :(

I'll be putting some spuds in next week - I know it's early, but at home I've got this nice patch between the back of one of my greenhouses & next doors garage wall, which is south facing & runs the length of my garden. (It's a big garage!).

It rarely sees any frost and if any is forcast it's not far to go to throw some fleece ofver them.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

My tatties get frosted almost every year (in early June even).  It sets them back by a week or so but they come back stronger than ever.  The important work of root development still goes on.  They would catch a fair bit of frost in the Andes too, their ancestral home after all.
