I went to my allotment yesterday to gather some sprouts of Christmas dinner.

We took a big rucksack, wore our hiking boots and used our hiking poles.  We dug the sprouts out of the tons of snow covering them and stuffed 4 big storks full of sprouts into the rucks.  I wanted to dig some parsnips to but didn't know exactly where to find them in the vast expanse of snow.  Luckily I had already dug some last week which we've not eaten yet.

Hiked home again, mission accomplished :D

If you haven`t got `em netted QUICKLY. Sprouts will be a prime target for the woodpigeon now as little else will be showing through the snow.

Aunty's already stuffed her Christmas birds.

Wouldn't have thought there'd be much meat on them though.
