I watched a programme about a bull elephant, who had a broken tusk that had become infected, and the poor creature had been in pain for some years and getting weaker.
It is not often that I become totally engrossed in tv, but this was amazing to watch this team of people assist and operate on this creature. The equipment they had to use and the skills involved where totally amazing.
With time running out for the length of time he could be unconscious, and then getting him up again.
Eventually, he fully recovered and was pain free. What wonderful people. Mrs Bouquet
