Shallots partly green
« on: October 19, 2010, 18:16 »
Hello

I'm going to attempt pickling some shallots unfortunately I lifted them too early they dry out and stored ok however on peeling one its still a little green - is it safe to pickle them if they are slightly green?

Thanks
Missey

I've never heard of there being a problem with green shallots (just spuds) so would have thought it would be fine - unless someone else knows better of course!!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
