Runner beans - first bunch off!

I had to get my seeds from the U.K.  I couldn't find then here at all.  After a very slow start when I thought they didn't like French soil they have taken off and are smothering the wigwam and are covered with flowers now.

I'm hopeful of rearing a successful first crop now.

Mine are just setting. I held back a bit this year after losing some to the frost last year.

We've been very fortunate frost wise this year, but had we had last year's we'd be hearing sob stories instead of success ones. This year's weather won't tempt me into early sowing next year!
