We lost the last of our original four chickens this weekend, she was just called the 'Little Red Hen'. LRH was a real character and up to the last couple of months was the lead hen. Then she began to slow down except when there were treats on offer and then she would just lift up her skirts and run. She had such funny habits - she had not laid any eggs for a long time but when any of the other hens would lay an egg she would go and inspect it and then make chickeney noises as if to say that was ME. LRH will be much missed especially by OH as she was his favourite.

:( So sorry for your loss of Little Red Hen Springlands. It seems to have been a really bad week for a lot of member who have lost hens and not all old ones.
Hang on to the happy memories of all the antics she got up to which should bring a smile to you and your OH.
