Title: pheasants price will fall
Post by: muntjac on December 06, 2006, 12:19
ok just been talking to a gamekeeper pal of mine and he said he heard that  pheasant prices will fall massivly again after cristmas .upto the 1st feb they are talking about a £1 each down from £7 each in some places . now i know that at the end of the season ( oct 1st - feb 1st ) they will not be wanted  by british game dealers but the french wil try and snap them all up at as little as 50p a bird../ why am i telling you this . well if you know a keeper or anybody that shoots or beats then get them to grab a load for you ,dont wory about procesing them right away .just bang them in a bag and bung them in the freezer allow 2 days to that and treat as normal. partridges will be 25p each  and wild duck as little as a £ 1 bird , so grab what you can folks .,im up for 40 brace myself  but then i wont pay for mine .... keepers perks    and  make sure you get yours the  last week of january folks ,

that price only covers the actual raising and shooting set ups etc , i admit anything over £25 a bird is blooming ridiculous .in my opinion but then i dont have anything to do with the high priced ones , its a name thing like blooming bmw . i used to shoot high wycombe until they started charging stupid money
