Went to asda earlier and they gotta offer on. two 70litres bags of compost for £6. Bargain id say!!
Start at the beginning, and finish at the end!!

depnds on anything in life!! somes good, somes not, but compost with peat is compost with peat, so you got good a chance as anything else!!! pricewise its good!!! Yey or ney!!??

grat price , should be ok with a bit of sharp sand added to aid drainage in seed trays

my thoughts exactly!!! I never been shy of splashing the cash!! But since i started allotme nteering i feel its my duty to be frugal and pass on the bargains to all else!!!! :wacko:

There is another thread on here were the whole compost thing became a science lesson.....yawn :).
On There i said i used Lidil compost. which i was happy with.
Then i discoverd Wickes compost, 4 bags for £12, 75 litre bags. Bargain
good stuff no lumps

true, bearing in mind what ive said before about compost, and the fact whatever its quality is  like this year will bear no relation to what its like next year  (at least as far as retail compost goes)!!

I bought the Asda two bags for £6 and it's good. Not lumpy, just the odd little twig but otherwise ok  :)

Wife bought me some. I thought it was rubbish. All sphagnum moss, put a bit in my hand and blew- disappeared. It may be of use mixed with other composts. sand etc but on its own it's not my idea of multi-purpose compost.
