Title: Guinea pigs
Post by: Thompson24 on August 24, 2009, 09:10
Hi guys

I have three guinea pigs all in seperate cages who all had three babies each, however within two weeks they all died? they just layed on their sides and then couldnt move and then died.

They were all breed to different males and all the guinea pigs came from different places?

Sorry to hear about this

I don't know much about GPigs, but wonder if there was something in the cages which affected them - was it the babies or the mothers or both who died?

Perhaps something in the bedding??

hiya sorry to hear about your guinea pigs, i breed guineas myself, did the babies die and the mums or just babies, at two weeks old baby guineas are usually self sufficent although they still take milk from mum till about 6wks but to have them all die is abit iffy.   Could be a number of things, bedding, fungus, posioin, did they eat anything unusual.  Please tell us a bit more about their circumstances.  nickyx
