Courgetts
« on: July 14, 2020, 09:50 »
hello all
This is my first year of trying to grow some veg and fruit, SO
I have grown a couple of courgette's from seed and now they are in a raised bed, they have started to flower, and have 1 small fruit developing, however this morning i went to see how it was doing and if any more were forming (which there are) But as i was moving my hand to see the baby fruit, the flower came off,SO would someone know if the  small courgette will still carry on growing, or should i cut it off and probably eat it
thank you  Regards Tony

The remains of the flower always drops off - what you don't know yet is whether the flower was pollinated -  if the courgette carries on growing it's a good 'un, if not it will shrivel up and you'll have to wait a bit longer.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!
