the other day we were working in the allotment when we heard an almighty racket from the hen house, 1 of the chickens had laid the biggest egg iv ever seen, poor chicken is all i can say ouchhhhh

My friend Richard had the Guiness Book of Records down to measure an egg one of his Black Rocks laid. (Apparently the hen walked like John Wayne for a week afterwards.

He was angling at biggest egg by body size but they went away to deliberate then said sorry, no record.

It now sits on his kitchen window ledge for passers by to see

Ben, we need to see a photo of that egg!  Also please ask Richard what the weight was when it was laid.  The Guiness records people might not have been impressed but I guarantee we will be!  :D
