How deep?
«

Having just taken on a polytunnel for the first time i was wondering what the depth of the raised beds should be?
The base of the tunnel has thick geo textile weed stuff laid and the present beds are built on top with single scaffold boards for the borders.
Would it be better to raise these say 1 board higher or will they be sufficient as they are
Thanks in advance fellow veggies

Increased depth of raised beds will always repay you in produce. It's just such a load of work lugging in the extra compost/earth. If you feel up to it, go ahead. Cheers, Tony.

I would say one scaffold board depth is enough, onto bare soil, so I'd either lose the geotextile in your growing beds if there is a decent growing medium underneath, or make them deeper.
