Had my chickens 8 months and haven't experienced a moult yet. One girl who still seems well and feisty hasn't laid for a week and noticed a dozen or so feathers this morning in cool. Should I be looking for anything else for it to be a possible problem

she is possibly having a partial moult :)

You don't say how old your girls are but they do not moult much, usually, in their first year but often have more of a moult in successive years. :)

I have had them from a week old so not very old. No sign of feathers today. Funny how she has stopped laying in the last couple of weeks and then my orps have laid their first ever. Well one has but the other has been sitting in the nest practising so I presume she will start pretty soon
