Some 6 weeks back we suffered a fox attack. A couple of the hens were hurt but have recovered, however the cock does not seem to well.  He lost a few feathers and probably a lot of pride but seems very down in the mouth.  He no longer crows nor visits the hens any more. he used to be first out of the coop in the morning, he is now very much the last and seems to amble out. During the day he seems to spend much of his time stood still with his head held low and his eyes shut. He is eating but seems to have lost a lot of weight. The feathers he lost have regrown and I am giving him a few drops of rescue remedy each day. Any ideas of what might be wrong?

I presume there were no skin breaks anywhere that could be infected?

What are his poops like?

Where abouts did the fox get him?

Have you checked him all over including under the wings, that is where the fox does the damage as the bird is trying to fly away then that is the most vunerable part.

 Check for all damage and if no damage I am sure he will come round in time.  Mine are always quiet if they have been attacked by a dog or something.

It could well be shock also.

I have had a good look all over and can find no skin breaks, his poos are small, reasonably wet and fairly often.
