Can anyone tell me which is the best time of year to move raspberries please.

I would say any time when they are dormant but ideally before winter really sets in (gives the roots a bit of time to settle), so mid to late October would probably be fine where you are (although the way this year has been going they might have started growing again by then!)  ::)  :ohmy:

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Hi Elaine - Sorry to hijack your post but I also have a question about rasps..

I have some on the new plot. I'm told some are Autumn and some are Summer fruiting but they dont know which is which...

Can I safely assume that if there are fruit now these are the Autumn and no fruit are Summer variety?  

Please confirm that the Summer variety needs to have first year growth left on to fruit next year - yes ?? I have to reposition them into a decent spot as they are now just haphazzardly spaced out...
