Title: Second post of the day! Blackcurrant and strawberry jam?
Post by: 666 on July 04, 2009, 21:29
Is it possible?  I do not have enough blackcurrants to do just them.

Throw in what you like & call it mixed fruit!

I've just done raspberry, loganberry, strawberry & red currants together.

I did a mixed fruit the other year and because my weight was short, I chopped up a couple of apples and added a 1lb of raisins!!!  Everyone said it tasted lovely!!

But also if I'm a bit short on weight.  I freeze the fruit I've got, then in the autumn buy some plums or something and add them to it.

Well I did just that and the jam is much much tastier than strawberry alone!  I actually followed this recipe but with less fruit and sugar  (just incase anyone is interested) #
