Planted 45 lady christl this morning. While the top had a clay skin to it, the ground under it was easy to work as it had been both dug and, thanks to Roger, renovatored recently. Finally feels winter is over now.

So in went the spuds today. While I was planting I got to thinking how do you plant your spuds ? ... I use a line and trowel making a hole about five inches deep every 30 cm and then popping in a seed potato. When they are through about four or five inches I do the  first earthing up then another a bit later.
