Planted 45 lady christl this morning. While the top had a clay skin to it, the ground under it was easy to work as it had been both dug and, thanks to Roger, renovatored recently. Finally feels winter is over now.  :D

So in went the spuds today. While I was planting I got to thinking how do you plant your spuds ? ... I use a line and trowel making a hole about five inches deep every 30 cm and then popping in a seed potato. When they are through about four or five inches I do the  first earthing up then another a bit later.
