HI guys,

I have a little question about rhubarb, i got given a rhubarb crown the end of last year from a friend who was giving up her plot, i split this into 5 new crowns which have grown well this year.  I am wanting to moving them to another place on my plot was wondering what the best time would be to do this, i have took the last cuttings off them yesterday and left five storks on each.

Wait until the stalks have died down, late autumn/early winter.

Fill the planting holes with as much compost/well-rotted manure as you can. The plants will then reward you with huge crops. Water them well in the first year.

Let them die down, lift them and then leave the roots on the surface of the ground.  Then replant them where you want them but do not harvest next year and only lightly the year after.

Or if you're the cautious type.. lift and replant half where you want them and then leave the other half on the soil surface and replant in spring when they shoot.
