I have 4 make that 5 (I forgot the climbing one1) varieties to grow this year in an effort to decide which is best, for me.

The also rans may have to take an early bath or I'll be over-run with them

I am going to do two sowings this year as a bit of a sperry.  The early part of last years weather, really hot and dry then cold and damp summer did for my courgettes and they were all done by August, and then we had that long late summer almost to November.

So this year I am sowing some now and then I'll sow some more at the end of May.  In this way I'll hope to take advantage of the Indian summer if we get one.

I have a really early one (parthenon) which does not require pollination. I grew two in my minitunnel last year and had courgettes from mid May. Sowed seeds two days ago  :D

I presume you are not actually sowing all of those seeds, Dopey  unsure Huh?

No i just cut and paste and that's what was on it, if i did i would have no room for anything else, i dont know if you can keep seeds for next year though

OK time to fess up, my wife (bless her) is from Cyprus, and things like beans (every type) courgettes aubergines, are staple stuff to her, she knows how to cook them and what to do with them, so I figured I grow them and she cooks them, that's fair isn't it?

You can never have too many courgettes in my opinion. After adding them to every meal and giving them away to family and neighbours, we make and freeze a tasty courgette soup or put them in chutney.
