Courgette Convert
« on: April 09, 2012, 11:36 »
I am now a courgette convert and really love the yellow ones, far better than the green you only get in supermarkets.

Really nice gently fried in extra virgin oil on top of char grilled rustic bread.

You can tell the seedlings have just surfaced  :D

I've split this off the 3 year old post you resurrected to give you your own thread.

I think you're a little early with them, especially up there. I won't be sowing mine down here until towards the end of the month. You dare not put them outside until all danger of frost is past.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I just want a huge crop of them - both colours - this year. ::) The May storms and ensuing cool summer last year put paid to my plans.

I like them but struggle to think of what to use them in (they are a watery veg though)

Tend to either slice them into curries or stir fry's
