Six inch nails?

Much cheaper, and they take anything you hang on them!

my OCD made me buy shiny galvanised ones for small hand tools :)

These do some hooks for spades

Very posh. I see they come in Black, Cream and 'Rustic'. I wonder what rustic is? Pre-rusted?

Any hooks do really need to be longer than you think too, as many is the time that I've thought a fork or a spade was safely placed up on the wall, only to have it crash down within an inch of my feet..;0(

Forks are very painful at that particular moment...

I prop the longer tools up in the shed, but shamelessly copied Archibtbm's tool storage. Natty hooks from B&Q.  :)

I'm struggling with safe tidy storage of the azada and fork, they fall off 6" nails, terry clips are too lightweight.  I've been keeping them head up in a tub of canes, but they tip over quite easily. At present I have them hooked into the space between the roof and the wall, but they are still a bit unsable. See picture

A previous owner thoughtfully put some good-sized cup hooks along the walls, but the current owner has so much junk in there there's no room to actually hang anything up, so all the long-handled tools stand in one corner - this makes for endless fun untangling the hoe from the fork, standing on the rake, everything trying to smack you round the head when you try to yank out the seldom-used tool at the back.........

I've bought a bucket load of clips over the years but tools always end up hanging on brass coat hooks sooner or later ::)
