Hi and welcome  leapyear :D

Depends what you want to grow, but certainly some can be sown now, like cauli's , leeks, tom's, peppers, chilli's  but the last three will need to be kept free from frost.

Also, broadbeans (most varieties now) and peas such as Early Onwards & Kelvedon Wonder :D

Hispi cabbage or something similar, small pointy quick growing jobs  :D

You could start by thinking about what you eat a lot of and buy from the shops and are expensive but cheap if home grown. Good place to start  :D

I think it is that simple - one piece of guttering, attach some ends, fill with seed compost, plant peas, water, leave to germinate/grow.  When ready, dig a trench the same size of guttering and slide out the compost into hole without upending everything.

Have to admit I just grow my peas individually in peat pots, and plant these out round a mini wigwam after they have germinated/grown to decent size :D

I quite fancy the idea of starting my peas off in guttering but somehow can't quite picture getting them up the lottie still in the guttering on my bike - so it will have to pots

Guttering, peas, compost, bike       I can imagine going through the lotty gate and the guttering being too wide to fit  :D

I sow em in pots too cos I'm too clumsy to make the guttering thing work
