This is what the cold weather as done to this plant will it die

These are very hardy and the old leaves protect the crown, so come the warmer weather, new shoots should form in the centre of the plant. Ours always seem to survive alright, so hope yours do too

Your geum  is rated as H7 in the RHS hardiness scale which means it is hardy in the coldest continental climates to below -20C.

Nothing to worry about. Your geum will be just fine. :)
