I have just thought that when i dig up my earlies and second earlies i will be left with a bare patch of earth.
Is there anything i can plant after the spuds have gone?

leeks usually go after spuds or you can do courgettes and squashes/pumpkins start them off in pots/trays  so they're well grown when the spuds come out.
Or you can do late peas/beans as they can go anywhere in the rotation

You can also grow carrots in that nice soft ground.

If you do not have an urgent crop to plant then sow a short termgreen manure to smother weeds and dig in. Mustard or phacelia.
