My dwarf apple tree
« on: June 07, 2019, 15:42 »
I have a dual fruit apple tree at my allotment.
Last year I had apples from both the eater and cooking apples.
This year  only  two fruits have set.
On some of the leaves are red spots (which I presume is spider mite) and have treated the tree with an organic mite killer.
Now some of the new leaf tips seem to be curling.
Has anyone any ideas on what is happening.
My pear tree is having similar problems?

Curling can often be the sign of pest damage - have you uncurled the leaves to see if you have aphids underneath for example?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Thanks a lot.  I will check under the leaves (when it stops raining) but I suppose I have been concentrating on the red spider mite(?).
