Just had a small fillet of cement between patio and slabs and ornamental wall. It looks very new. Is it natural yogurt I put on it to make it look older and mossy like existing. Thanks, Mrs Bouquet

Natural yogurt does encourage greening if painted on pots or surfaces, but in the hot, dry conditions we have at the moment it may be a bit smelly.
if you have some emulsion paint kicking about in a brown/green shade, you could pour some in a jam jar, water it down and paint a layer of that over. Do it badly so bits are more thickly covered that others. The rain will wash it off in time, but it will take that new look off the concrete.

thanks, that's good plan. after I had posted, I thought about the ants all over the yogurt !!. Regards Mrs Bouquet

Painting with a liquid fertiliser will encourage growth of lichens etc

thank you for your replies. I remembered an old old man years ago said to rub it with manure. So in the end I actually rubbed it with wet multi-purpose, it has certainly reduced the new look. regards Mrs Bouquet

I would leave it for a bit and let it cure and dry a month or so will do it , then rinse it with fresh water.
