Do chooks like to huddle up close ?    for warmth/security  ?

Bought both my coops and the perches are (or seem) very close together

how far apart or close together should they be ?

Our sleeping coop isn't too large and the perches are formed in the shape of an 'H' There's only about 18 inches between the two longest strips on the H frame with the smaller cross perch measuring 18 inches. I have read that the girls do snuggle up to each other for warmth and security
