Wondered if anyone had any advice for a first time pumpkin grower.... i have three plants - both with two pumpkins growing.  I try and garden organically so dont want to use manmade feeds - any suggestions as to what i can feed them to make them grow bigger?

Mine just get comfrey tea, infact most things get comfrey tea  not sure if it is the right think to feed them but they hqve gone mad.

I am very trial and error but it all come good in the end, somehow

I use an organic liquid seaweed feed and have been very happy with that.

Any of the above mentioned are fine. So are compost tea, manure tea, nettle tea, etc.

As I've told other pumpkin growers. . .look along the 'vines' and where leaf stems leave the vine there may be a swelling.  Ensure this is buried (just pop some compost over the lump) and feed here as well as at the initial growing site.  These swellings are auxiliary root sites and feeding here will increase the size of your pumpkin.

I chuck loads of manure on the ground where I plant my pumpkins which keeps them fuelled up

You could use manure pellets scattered around the growing points. You don't need many. The pellets get washed in when it rains
